Have you ever seen a real racing car driven on the street? Well, this should be close enough.

After 8 years in the making, the JDMYard DC5 finally made its racetrack debut in 2013. Here it is parked at JDMYard Honda Showoff 2013 in all of its glory.

I’ve grown a lot fonder of this SiR-inspired Civic since my last post, so without further ado, here’s another shot of it in all of it’s glory.

I came across this ED Civic at last year’s Garage 88 Christmas BBQ meet and couldn’t help myself from checking it out a little closer. I found it sitting at one end of the meet, away from any other cars and parked quietly in an empty area, but on closer inspection it turned out to be a real gem. The simple additions really add character to what would otherwise be “just another Civic”. A steering wheel boss kit with a Nardi Deep Corn steering wheel and a Broadway mirror and tsurikawa furnish the interior whilst the SiR-inspired paintwork, Mugen CF-48s and a front lip and rear spoiler finish off the exterior. I wouldn’t change a single thing about it; not even its imperfections. To me, this is how a Civic should be done. Pure 90s fashion. Enjoy!

2013 has been another great year, with many lows but also many highs. I might not have gone out to shoot as much as I would have liked in this past year, but I know that along the way I’ve met a lot of amazing people and made some great new friends, all the while continuously growing in my photography and in life. I’d like to extend a sincere ‘Thank you’ to everyone who has supported me and helped push me to greater heights in 2013. Here’s one of Chris Eaton, owner of the Nemo Racing Evo, piloting his machine around Sydney Motorsport Park for one last time at World Time Attack Challenge. Let’s bring on 2014!
